Picture Scenes for Mixed Groups

This resource is meant to help create engaging, relevant lessons for your mixed groups. In the school setting, our schedules sometimes force us to service articulation, language, and pragmatic kiddos all at one time. I was struggling to find ONE activity that could cover a multitude of goals…so I created this!

With just one picture scene and worksheet, you can target…

• Articulation (picture, word, reading level)
• Vocabulary (attributes, compare/contrast, antonyms/synonyms, defining/describing)
• Answering WH questions (explicit, inferential, and problem solving)
• Syntax and grammar (correcting grammatical errors such as noun-verb agreement, verb tense, pronouns, omission of morphological markers, etc)

I have used these materials with 3rd graders-6th graders and they have been challenging and appropriate for each student. The best part is it requires no preparation on your part…just print as many copies as you need and you’re ready for an engaging lesson with your upper elementary students. No prep!!
