“This product is a camping themed language activity with multiple receptive and expressive language targets included. Use these cute campers to motivate your speech kiddos from Pre-K to 5th grade!

Pages 3-8: Compare and Contrast -Print, cut, and laminate cards on cardstock. Use these to identify similarities and differences between each picture. Aim for 3 similarities and 3 differences with each visual.

Pages 9-13: Listening Comprehension -Print, cut, and laminate cards on cardstock. The student draws a question card which will tell them what they need to know about the story. It will either be main idea, a WH question, or give 3 details. The SLP reads the story aloud and then follows up with either, “What is the main idea?” a WH question of choice or, “Give me 3 details about the story.”

Pages 14-20: Sequencing Activity – Print, cut, and laminate cards on cardstock. The student reads the carrier phrases at the beginning of the story. They finish the sentence and draws a picture to illustrate the story. They continue this with transition words: Next, Then, and Last paired with illustrations. You may then work on story retell. A visual is given at different steps in each story so that they have an idea of what is happening or what they could write a story about. Page 20 is a blank template to use for any sequencing activity.

Pages 21-23: Action+ing – Print, cut, and laminate cards on cardstock. The SLP presents each card to the student and reads the sentence. The student fills in each blank with the correct “verb + ing”. For example: The boy is BUILDING a fire.

Pages 24-26: Regular & Irregular Verbs– Print, cut, and laminate cards on cardstock. The student reads the card and corrects the underlined verb to make it past, present, or future tense.

Pages 27-29: Pronouns – Print, cut, and laminate cards on cardstock. Pronouns targeted: He/Him, She/Her, They/Them. The student or clinician reads the card and the student must choose the correct pronoun for that sentence.

Pages 30-33: Cause & Effect – Print, cut, and laminate cards on cardstock. The student either identifies the cause (why it happened) or the effect (what happened) and illustrates a picture with a short sentence.

Pages 34-36: Negation – Print, cut, and laminate cards on cardstock. The clinician reads the card to the student. The student identifies the one that is NOT and points to the correct picture.
